Collection: Kimono Craft
Kimono is a Japanese art form that has evolved over the centuries to produce many outstanding designs, especially in terms of decoration, such as dyeing, weaving, and embroidery. In recent years, the traditional craftsmanship that Japan has inherited has been attracting attention for its use in products other than kimonos.
Traditional techniques such as "Kinsai," in which gold or silver foil or metal powder is pasted onto the fabric, "Itaba Yuzen," in which artisans use multiple molds to express patterns, and "Japanese embroidery," in which colors are meticulously combined using about 4,000 smooth and lustrous silk threads, are creating modern crafts with a Japanese flavor.
