This type of copper-based accessories are named “ Ryudo “, originated by Tae Kufukihara, a skillful metal artist.
“Crescent “ looks like twin crescents. It has a fairly-tale-like image. At night, you open the window, you see a crescent shining in the sky and the other crescent also shines on the window. Oh! twin crescents are gracefully facing each other and shining each other.
The copper pieces are cut out of a copper sheet and melted on the rim by a burner. This process produces various copper pieces which are
different in shape one another. And some look like each other.
Each piece is pounded with various iron stamps with a mallet, producing original patterns. Then sliver powders are fused to the surfaces with a burner, which generates silver marbling patterns on the copper piece, creating the color contrast and texture.
Twin crescents are connected with chic French beads, which means the east meets the west, a wonderful combination of the both!
The item of Ryudo is electrodespositon-coated, so do not rub it hard to prevent the coating from peeling off.
Longer or shorter chains are available if you like.
